Here we pay respect to all the Detroit EMS personnel who are no longer with us.
The Final Shift
In memory of paramedics, brave and true,
Who answered the call, no matter what they knew.
With courage and compassion, they faced each fray,
And now we honor them on this solemn day.
Through sirens wailing, in the darkest night,
They raced to save lives, bringing hope and light.
With steady hands and hearts so full of grace,
They fought to bring healing to every wounded place.
In ambulances and on scenes, they stood tall,
A lifeline for many, answering the call.
Though their time with us was far too brief,
Their memory brings comfort and a sense of relief.
For in the face of danger and in chaos’s roar,
They stood as heroes, whom we’ll forever adore.
With every life they touched and every pain they eased,
Their legacy endures, never to be released.
As we gather in tribute, with heavy hearts we pray,
For those paramedics who’ve now passed away.
They’ve earned their rest, beyond the earthly skies,
In eternal peace, their spirit never dies.

Though they are gone, their passion and love for their fellow man will never be forgotten.
